Upon arrival in Ölgii, the cultural center of Mongolia’s Kazakh community, our team will warmly welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After some time to rest, we begin exploring the city of Ölgii and its unique atmosphere shaped by Kazakh nomadic traditions and Altai mountain culture. Travelers will visit local markets, cultural landmarks, and experience the lifestyle of Western Mongolia. During the evening, guests enjoy a traditional dinner while meeting guides and receiving a full briefing about the upcoming Altai Tavan Bogd adventure. This first day allows travelers to relax and prepare before entering the remote wilderness of the Altai Mountains.

After breakfast, we leave Ölgii behind and begin our overland journey toward the famous White River region located near Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. Traveling through vast valleys, mountain passes, rivers, and open steppe landscapes, guests will witness some of the most breathtaking scenery in Western Mongolia. Along the route, travelers may encounter local nomadic families living in traditional yurts surrounded by herds of yaks, camels, horses, and goats. By afternoon, we arrive at White River — a spectacular location surrounded by towering mountains, glacier-fed rivers, and untouched wilderness. Tonight, we camp beside the river and enjoy dinner under the stars while surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the Altai Mountains.

Today marks the beginning of our trekking adventure into the heart of the Altai Mountains. In the morning, luggage and camping equipment are loaded onto camels and horses before we begin our journey toward Altai Tavan Bogd Base Camp. The trek takes approximately 5–6 hours through breathtaking alpine valleys, glacier rivers, rocky mountain trails, and dramatic panoramic landscapes. Throughout the hike, travelers experience the true remoteness and raw beauty of the Mongolian Altai while surrounded by snow-covered peaks and untouched wilderness. By late afternoon, we arrive at Base Camp located near the glaciers of the Tavan Bogd massif. Guests spend the evening relaxing, exploring the surrounding area, and enjoying one of the most spectacular mountain environments in Central Asia.

After breakfast, we begin trekking back toward White River through the spectacular valleys and glacier landscapes of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. The return journey offers another opportunity to fully appreciate the silence, scale, and untouched beauty of the Altai wilderness. Travelers may encounter nomadic herders, grazing animals, and dramatic changing landscapes throughout the route. By evening, we arrive back at White River where we enjoy our final night camping in the mountains surrounded by fresh air and incredible scenery.

Today we return to Ölgii by vehicle through the breathtaking landscapes of Western Mongolia. Along the journey, travelers visit local Kazakh eagle hunters and experience one of the region’s most iconic cultural traditions. Guests will have the opportunity to meet eagle hunters, photograph their magnificent golden eagles, and learn about the ancient hunting traditions passed down through generations. This cultural encounter offers a rare and authentic insight into the nomadic lifestyle of the Altai Kazakh people. By evening, we arrive back in Ölgii and check into the hotel for a comfortable rest after the mountain expedition.

After breakfast, our team transfers guests to the airport for departure. As the journey comes to an end, travelers leave Mongolia carrying unforgettable memories of glacier valleys, snow-covered peaks, nomadic culture, eagle hunters, and the extraordinary beauty of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.
